Does tube amp consume a lot more power than solid state amp?

i am a vintage audio guy, but i am not an engineer, i am curious how much in terms of power consumption comparing tube amp vs solid state amp.

Tube Amps use more power, and throw off more heat too, but it’s all worth it.
