Are husbands required to pay child support for kids born during the marriage if the child is not theirs.?

I heard that some States require husbands to pay child support for kids born during the marriage even if proven that the child was conceived by another man (that was why the divorce proceedings were initiated.) I can not believe that any State would allow a woman to have an affair, conceive a child by that affair and then expect the husband to pay child support.
