Frequency Encoder

question on HT-12E radio frequency encoder?

in the data sheet it says that data inputs are switches connected to ground.
can i connect the data inputs to a microcontroller that sends a high signal untill my program decides when its low?
does that affect the encoder, because in the data sheet it says whether connect it to groun or leave un connected so what happens if i send a high to one of these inputs ?

The data sheet shows the input as a CMOS gate with a resistor pulling the input up to Vdd. The specification for input high voltage Vih is 0.8Vdd to 1.0Vdd. As long as your microcontroller output doesn’t exceed 1.0Vdd, you should be able to drive it directly. And along the same line, the input low voltage Vil range is 0.0Vdd to 0.2Vdd, so the microcontroller should not pull the signal below 0.0Vdd.

If you can’t meet those constraints, then you’ll need to add a buffer of some sort (a voltage translator) between the microcontroller and the HT-12.

Could it be that as we go to 21 December 2012 which we are moving to a door, a corridor that will lead to a new realm, a new dimension, a new heaven and earth?
