Amateur Radio Satellites, how can I talk on one with my 2 meter?

I have had a Technician license for quite some time now but haven’t talked in a while. I have a Vertex VX-150 Handheld 2 Meter Transceiver and I was interested in how to pickup/talk via Amateur satellites. They are just like repeaters right? How could I do this?

Amateur radio or ham radio is a hobby radio enthusiasts who enjoy control. It's a hobby and a service that uses radio communication equipment to communicate with other ham radio operators. Operation of ham radio is a hobby that requires a license to operate. The first step to enjoy the hobby is the smooth ham radio device. You better take the advice and guidance of a person having knowledge of ham radios when he wants to buy the device.
