Can somebody please suggest a good Valve/Tube amplifier in the 400-600 USD range?

I currently play a Schecter Hellraiser C-1 FR and my genre is usually metal on the heavy range, such as metalcore, death metal and thrash.
Thank you!

Just out of curiosity, why tubes? Tremendously wasteful of electrical power, not particularly rugged, and the only people who subscribe to the theory of advanced high fidelity of tubes also believe that radio signals circle the globe for decades.

I know that’s not an ‘answer’ but somebody else can supply that.

Guitar Amplifiers

You probably just bought his first electric guitar and want to know all about guitar amps. Perhaps you curious to how long amps have been around, how they work, or purchase. Whatever the reason, when reading this article, you will get answers.

History of amp

Guitar amps have from about 70 years ago, which first appeared during the 1930s. The first amplifiers had poor high treble and low responses. This was improved over time, as amplifiers became better developed. During the '60s, guitar amplifier changed considerably to where it is today, when the guitarists of the time experimented with deliberately overloading your amplifier to create distortion. Since then, most amplifiers were provided with preamplifier distortion controls. Playing with the distortion has become an important part of the electric guitar.

Types of amplifiers

There are two types of amplifiers: solid state and vacuum tube amplifiers. Moreover, there are some that combine both solid state amplifiers and tube technologies. Most amplifiers, particularly the less expensive, they are solid state and that are lighter and easier to repair than tube amps are. A lot of guitarists, however, prefer tube amplifier because of the sensitivity analog tube amplifier, which they say makes tube amps sound better. While this is probably the case, most beginners can not afford Shell to $ 500 – $ 1000 it costs to buy a good tube amp. Therefore, solid state amplifiers are really a good buy in some cases.

Solid state and vacuum tube amplifiers come in combo (speakers and head) packages or separately. Guitarists who are not too demanding can buy the combo, while those who are whimsical "can mix and match" the leaders and speakers. This is useful for those looking to get a particular sound.

How Amplifiers Work / What Watts average

Without going into a big, long, technical explanation, amplifiers, basically, take the vibrations (sound) of the chain (s) and amplifies it, thereby increasing the sound. To learn more about the technical side of guitar amps, there are several good books cover the subject pretty well.

Each amplifier has a certain wattage. The higher the wattage, the louder the sound produced by the amplifier. Overall, those who want to play shows want amplifiers with a minimum of 30 watts, preferably at least 50 watts, especially if you plan play in larger venues.
