The resources of the installation of wireless networks are numerous. The first, of course, is a limit to the number of wires running through a house or office. A wireless network also allows for very easy installation, as their knowledge and work of electrical wiring may be minimal, but still enough to install a wireless network.

In addition, wireless configuration allows you great flexibility in how to locate the computer in home or office.

To create a wireless network that is Internet ready, you only need two main components.

The first is wireless LAN (or local area network) cards. It is important that each PC on the network have their own wireless card.

They need to be inserted into an unused PCI slot located inside a PC. The part of the antenna of the card should be in the back of the PC with the antenna that extends to.

Installation LAN card is not a complicated operation, and can be performed by a rookie in the installation of equipment. Just open the computer case carefully and find the slot where LAN card fits. It is unlikely that only one available, but any team that have not built in a wireless system that has a slot for LAN.

Connect Ground yourself by touching something metal or plastic to dissipate static, then screw the card into the slot with the screws provided. Make the electrical connections, replace The PC comes, then start the computer. Drivers will need to specifically intact for the LAN card. Repeat for each computer will be in the network.

The second component of a basic wireless network is the wireless router. The routers allow you to share a single Internet connection among many computers. Depending on the specifications of the router, can accommodate between four and sixteen teams in a wireless router only.

If you Internet from their cable provider, you may have supplied a cable modem, but rarely are wireless. You need to connect a wireless router into the modem, then routes from your PC through it. If you have a DSL or ADSL connection, buy a DSL modem.

You can then configure your network. Start Log in to your router / modem through your PC. Read the owner's manual for the router for specific instructions. You want to direct it to automatically assign IP addresses to any PC connected to it. It is recommended that you stick to the basic network configurations and use the 192.168.01 and the first IP address and the address 0.9 end, which gives you the possibility of eight additional devices to be installed, if desired.

You want your router to the main entrance and also the DNS primary, therefore these cells must be set to the router's IP (182.168.0.1). Other boxes must be blank or contain default indicators.

The following step is to go to Network Connections in the Start menu screen PC, right click on the mobile network and pass the properties to indicate that you want the router to obtain an address IP automatically.
