Dodge Caliber would get some fine tuning made in Germany courtesy of none other than STARTECH. The German tuner would employ strikingly styled aerodynamic-enhancement program plus some engine tuning for the diesel model Caliber.

To provide the Caliber with a sporty appearance the STARTECH designers have developed an aerodynamic-enhancement kit that will boost further the striking appearance of Dodge Caliber. The STARETECH front fascia does not only visually improve the appearance of the front but it also reduces lift on the front axle.

The sides were also given a more uniform appearance with the STARTECH side body cladding that gives the Caliber a lower and sleeker appearance. The rear of the Dodge will also undergo sporty modifications. The custom-tailored STARTECH lift-gate attachment continues the bullish contour of the rear fascia over the rest of the width of the rear.

The rear fascia with its stylish tailpipes placed on the left and right of the Caliber gives the diesel model with a more powerful appearance. The fascia which originally makes use of Chrysler exhaust system is changed with the STARTECH sport exhaust system. The change of the Chrysler exhaust was needed for the modification of the Caliber. The rear spoiler was also attached to the liftgate and stylishly rounds out the STARTECH designer suit.

STARTECH has also increase the output of the Dodge Caliber 2.0 CRD with common-rail turbodiesel engine by 40 hp/29.4 kW. The STARTECH SD3 performance kit which consist of a plug-and-play control module that can be installed by any authorized Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge dealer in as little as half an hour is made possible by the custom wire harness that are included in the kit. And just like the production models, the STARTECH-tuned Dodge Caliber 2.0 CRD meets the EURO IV emission limits.

With the STARTECH SD3 tuning peak power output of the 2.0 liter common-rail four cylinder engine with diesel particulate filter jumps from the standard 140 hp/103 kW to 180 hp/132 kW at just 4,000 rpm. The STARTECH Dodge Caliber was also made even better for everyday driving with its improved torque from 310 Nm to 360 Nm between 1,750 and 2,500 rpm. The sprint time from 0 to 100 km/h was also shortened from 9.3 seconds to 8.6 seconds and top speed increases to 201 km/h.

STARTECH design for the Dodge Caliber also includes a stainless-steel rear muffler with one oval tailpipe on either side which will be employed for all engine variants of the Caliber. Other two versions will also be employed; one will be combined with the STARTECH rear fascia while the other one is going to be used for installation in combination with the stock bumper. The exhaust system provided by STARTECH will not only provide the Caliber with a more exciting appearance but will also make enables the diesel model to sing a more powerful exhaust note.

STARTECH will also render the Caliber more fun to drive with the addition of custom-tailored modifications on the Dodge suspension. Likewise, progressive-rate springs precision-calibrated to the standard shocks helps lower the ride height of the vehicle by up to 30 millimeters.

And of course a ride can never be complete without a set of cool wheels. For the Dodge Caliber, STARTECH offers various custom-tailored STARTECH Monostar tire/wheel combinations with 19- and 20- inch diameters. The palette of suitable Monostar IV five-spoke wheels ranges from 8.8Jx19 all around with tires up to 245/40 R 19 in size to an especially exclusive version with size 9Jx20 wheels and 245/35 R 20 tires.

The STARTECH program will also offer a great number of customization options for the interiors of all Caliber models. The STARTECH Lifestyle interior package is scheduled to go on sale in the near future. Moreover, extravagant highlights may also be added with striking STARTECH accessories such as polished aluminum which is the material used for door-lock pins, shifter, and foot pedals. High-quality floor mats with STARTECH signet are also available.
