How do you tune into this channel on a shortwave radio?
11.785 & 5.850 , I need to know which band to put the dial on.
It depends on what receiver you have. Some receivers have a handy switch somewhere that changes the bands, similar to a band switch on a regular radio (AM/FM) but with more bands. If you have a radio that has many different “bands” with one dial, you will have a switch on the side with number or letters that correspond to the band that the frequency you want to receive is on. Find the approximate spot of the frequency you want to receive, look for the letter or number and switch.
However, if you have a digital receiver, you should be able to tune in to those frequenies easily just by typing it in or using the dial (if you will) to tune it in. Your radio might be displaying frequencies without the decimal point. In SW, the frequncies you have there are in MHz and your radio might be displaying them in kHz instead. Just remove the decimal point and you have it.
Just for reference, 11.785Mc is in the 25 meter band and 5.850Mc is just below the 49 meter band.

Free-to-air (FTA) is a term used to describe television (TV) and radio broadcasts which are transmitted without encryption, so that may be collected through of any suitable receiver. The term should not be confused with free-to-view, which describes TV which is available without subscription but is encrypted and therefore may be restricted geographically. None of these options can be described as pay-TV, which describes a subscription service, which is encrypted. The term generally refers to delivery by satellite television, but in several parts of the world where encrypted digital TV channels land exist, broadcast on VHF and UHF bands, can also be applied to these systems.
Although these channels are described as the freedom to use, the viewer fact pay for them. Some are paid directly by payment of a fee or voluntary donation, while others are paid indirectly consumer products and services, where part of the cost goes toward television advertising and sponsorship.
Free-to-air is used for international broadcasting. It can often be described as the equivalent of television of the shortwave radio. There is C number of competing systems in use, with early adopters who have used the band satellite dishes of several feet in diameter for receive the signals originally analogue FM, later digital using the Motorola-proprietary Digicipher II system or later still going to Ku-band and less than dishes one meter and often international DVB standard. The following are the types of free-to-air receivers:
Satellite Dish
Satellite dishes is a special type of satellite dish designed for the purpose of transmitting signals and / or satellite reception. A satellite dish is a particular type microwave antenna, which comes in different sizes and designs and is most commonly used to receive satellite television.
Television Satellite
Satellite television is television delivered by way of communications satellites, as compared with the usual terrestrial and cable television. In many areas of satellite television services supplement world's largest terrestrial signals, providing a wide range of channels and services, including subscription service only.
Set Top Box
The term set-top box describes a device that connects to a TV and a source external signal and converts the signal into content which is then displayed on the screen. The source of the signal could be an Ethernet cable, a satellite dish, a coaxial cable, phone line, broadband over power line, or even a VHF or UHF antenna ordinary. This means that any and all video, audio, Internet websites, interactive games, or other possibilities. A set-top box should not always contain a tuner of its own. A junction box to a TV SCART fed with the television signal baseband of the whole tuner, and can ask the TV to display the returned processed signal instead. This function is used for decoding pay TV, and in the past was used for decoding teletext decoder before it became incorporated. The output signal can be of the same nature as the incoming signal, or even an "insert" in the original signal, thanks to "quick change of "the characteristics of SCART that in case of Pay TV, this solution avoids the discomfort associated with having a remote second.
