Why wouldnt my digital cam LCD display light up?
Ok during my vacation, my digital cam’s LCD display decided to die on me. when i brought it back to canon for repair, they said there’s moisture inside the cam and they’re not repairing it. But the only problem it has is the LCD display not lighting up. The cam still works and i can still take pics. If you tilt the LCD on an angle you can still see the image on the screen. like one of those reflective lcd screen back in the days. so what can cause the LCD screen not to light up and if there’s any suggestion on how to repair it.
Oh this cam is just 1yr + 2months old and i spent $500 on it. Im so pissed at Canon right now. if their cam is not design for hot + humid countries, then what is it good for? i cant take it with me on vacation!
If you did not get this camera wet in rain or a pool of water, the warranty should be good. Check with Best Buy and Ritz camera to get some ideas. If you keep the camera in a warm dry place, it could dry out after a little time. It is usually too expensive to repair electronics outside of warranty.
