Help with alternator problems?
I have a 1989 Ford super duty with a 7.3 litre deisel. The alternator light stays on I noticed a wire was un hooked on the passengers side fender well. So I hooked it back up and the light went off. Then about ten minutes later the light started blinking on and off. Then I revved it up and it went off. Now the light just stays on again. I had the alternator tested before i hooked the wire back up and they said it was good. Is it possible the alternator burned out since I hooked that wire up? Them wires were 2 wires that plugged into each other that looked like they just came unhooked. Is there some kind of alternator relays for these old fords? Or are they inside the alternator? Any solutions I can try would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Bob
You have a short in your wire..That simple…I’m a busdriver and it happens to us with lights and so on.
