How do I extend a wireless network if I can’t run cat-5 cable?

I need to extend a wireless signal to an outbuilding, and it’s not feasible to run cabling. I have two D-Link DIR-655s, one of which is currently attached to the modem. I want to put the other in a third building in between the existing 655, and where I want the signal to reach. How to I set up the second 655?

Some routers have a “repeater” mode. See if this has this in the setup section.

Or you may need to get 2 routers that are compatible with dd-wrt firmware(you’ll have to update the router to this advanced firmware) then it’s a matter of just setting them up properly.
