how to connect freeview box to multi point arial?
the main ariel is box on wall . at side of it is booster box, a link arial comes from this box to booster box. on top booster box three arial leads come out going to different rooms. where do you plug in the freeveiw box ??
think if add to booster box all tv’s will receive freeview , but every one has to watch same channel ?? so just take one arial from booster box in freeveiw and other in tv so just one tv has it ?
I asusme you have just one Freeview box at present (for one TV)
Assumming also that the output of the freeview box is a SCART lead…
The freeview box is like a VCR…
you plug it between the aerial lead and the TV set , that you want to watch freeview on.
- take out the lead from the back of the TV
- plug it into the Freeview box
- take the link lead (in the freeview packaging) and plug that into the TV again.
- take the Scart lead and connect between ANY of the sockets oin the freeview box and plug into the TV scart also.
- plug in and power on the Freeview box.
test with the TV that is nearest to all those boosters…
because if it does not work on the short cable, it will not work in the other rooms !
when you know it workls for the 1st TV,
test the other two rooms (move the freeview box to them/plug in the same way)
if it works on those, then buy more for those TV’s (if you want Freeview for them)
Its one per TV set.

Coverity, the leader in improving software quality and security automatically, has introduced a new and sophisticated defect detection capability concurrency in Coverity Prevent ™, the flagship of the company by a static code analysis solution for C / C + + and Java. This new technology introduces the first static defect detection of race conditions, one of the most difficult to find concurrency errors that occurs in applications multithreaded. This new capability will benefit developers of automatic identification of race conditions, as well as concurrency defects other early in the development cycle where they are most profitable to clear.

Race condition defects have been responsible for some most notorious failures in software. For example, race conditions in the software of the Therac-25 radiation therapy machine were cited as contributing to the death of five patients. The race conditions were also a contributing factor in the North American blackout of August 2003, during which 50 million people were without power.
The advent of multi-core hardware, whether computers from manufacturers such as AMD or Intel, or consumer goods, such as the Sony PlayStation 3, are driving the emergence of applications of multi-threaded software that are susceptible to race condition defects. To take advantage of multicore hardware requires new multi-threaded applications that can simultaneously execute multiple interacting computational tasks.
Designing Applications multithreaded is very complex, and introduces a new class of potential application errors when the complexity of simultaneously running threads are not handled properly. To date, evidence concurrency defects including race conditions, time environments has been extremely difficult due to the complexity in implementing in multiple threads simultaneously, while accessing the shared memory.
The latest version of Coverity Prevent introduces a new interface designed specifically to help developers understand the complex interleavings that exist within their multi-threaded applications. New advanced capabilities provide analysis on preventing an analysis of 100% of these interleavings, delivering unmatched insight into complex code bases.
Coverity Prevent helps developers control the complexity of multithreaded applications by automatically identifying these elusive, often shock cause concurrency defects such as:
• Race Condition – Several threads access the same shared data without the appropriate locks to protect access points. When this problem occurs, a thread may inadvertently overwrite data used by another thread, leading to both the loss of information and data corruption.
•
• Blocking – Two or more threads wait for a block in a circular chain so that the locks can never be acquired. When this problem occurs, the entire software system may halt, as none of the threads can continue along their current execution paths or exit.
• Wire Block – A thread calls a long operation while holding a lock preventing the progress of other threads. When this problem occurs, application performance can drop dramatically due to a single bottleneck for all threads.
