Two way radios have added good value to businesses. These serve as an easy and cost-effective method for enhancing their communication systems. As operational costs continue to decrease, productivity is an added bonus. With these tools, organisations have an easier fare communicating between its various departments. Communicating between office and field executives is an important function of these radios.

With faster response time, projects and assignments can be tracked and executed in more efficient a manner. If you wonder why not cellphones, the answer is straight. Two way radios are more reliable, durable and of course, much more cost-effective.

Two way radios models are available in many models and you can have an interesting time choosing the one that would be standard for your purposes. Some important features you would like to keep in mind are: frequency, channels, power and of course, the durability.

Frequency: As far as frequency is concerned, you have to consider the kind of settings you work in. UHF-2 frequency works best, if you have a business setup such as a restaurant, hotel, hospital/health care or a school. Whereas businesses in open field-jobs are concerned, VHF radios should suffice.

Power: The usual standard power requirement ranges from 1-5 watts. Anything higher is generally not required.

Channel: Certain businesses such as the hotel industry and the transport industry will require multiple channels. And it all depends on the number of departments your business has and the degree of your client relationship and service.

Durability: If your business requires more of on-field presence, outside the calm safety of your office, you would naturally require a more rugged model, that can survive accidental drops with its shock-absorbent features.

Along with two way radios, you can get comfortable-to-wear headset with Push-to-Talk features, as also available with many models.
