will a power capacitor cure power drain from a high power vhf radio?

I have an old motorola 100 watt vhf radio that, when the engine is off drains the power within 15 minutes, and unfortunately, i need it to run for quite a bit longer. If the power capacitor won’t work, any other suggestions?

nope, add another batterie a cap wont help you it will prolong altrnater failure
