How difficult is it to tune-up a 96 Caprice 4.3?

I’m sure I’ve got all the tools, unless it requires something special. I’d like to replace the plugs, wires, and possibly the distributor cap and dist. rotor. car has almost 100,000 miles on it and has been well taken care of, but it hesitates when accelerating from a standstill. I had the fuel filter replaced allready. I’m no mechanic, but used to do minor maintenance and repairs on some of my cars. Should I just give this job to a pro?

It depends on if it’s a LT1 style distributor or a regular distributor. The LT1 style or optispark can be a bear because you have to take off the water pump and loosen the power steering pump. But if it’s the other style it’s not real hard just do one wire at a time so you don’t mix them up.

There are rare occasions when the steering wheel vibrates as a Mercedes Benz slows down or to stop AA. This causes discomfort and anxiety for the driver. Most Benz owners initially attribute this problem with faulty tire pressure. But what if the tire pressure is at an appropriate level? Then the problem is a twisted Mercedes Benz brake rotor.

Imagine the Mercedes Benz brake rotor as the central part of a white Oreo cookie. This disc brake rotor is what the brake pads grip to stop the car. The brake pads are like two dark outer pieces of Oreo cookie itself, and the clip holds the brake pads on one side rotor brake. When the driver depresses the brake pedal inside the car, brake fluid is sent to the brake calipers causing hydraulic pressure to squeeze the brake rotor between the brake pads.
