Two Vhf

All sailboats should carry some type of fog or air horn to make signals to other boats while sailing in heavy fog. It is required by the Coast Guard of the United States that this equipment be included and visible on all sailboats. A sailboat should sound signal every two minutes under harsh conditions. This consists of one long blast which lasts about 4-6 seconds followed by two short blasts, one second each.
There are three basic choices for a fog air including compressed-gas air horns, manual horns, and VHF radios with fog horn signals using a hailer. Each type comes with its advantages as well as its cons.
1. Compressed –Gas Foghorns: These are really advantageous because they are super loud and inexpensive. The refills are also readily available. The downfall of a compressed-gas fog horn is that it may rapidly deplete in times of heightened fog levels. This makes the availability of multiple refills necessary which can prove to be quite expensive if used for extensive periods of fog.
2. Manual Foghorns: These are an older type of air horn and they were developed out of brass in earlier cases. Some of these devices look like antiques that should be hung on a wall but a lot of sailers still prefer to use these manual foghorns for signaling. The major advantage of this sound signal device is that buying or storing compressed-gas refills is unnecessary. They are also very inexpensive over time. The only downfall to a manual foghorn is that they aren’t as loud as other signaling devices and they tend to require more effort. The instrument may corrode over time if its not protected from certain elements.
3. VHF Radio Hailer Foghorn: Recent model VHF radios come with a built-in haler connected to an external hailer horn which can also function as a sufficient foghorn. A program is carefully built into these radios which automatically sends signals through the hailer at the correct interval. One cool advantage to a VHF radio is that the volume is adjustable. They are also less expensive, requiring only 12-volts and there is no need to buy or store compressed-gas refills. Once turned on, signals can continue and be automatically turned off with little effort. Initially, the purchase of this radio and hailer is a lot more expensive. Another disadvantage is that there is a huge risk for failure since it is an electronic. Not only that but the owner must memorize the keypress sequence in order to turn on the automatic function.
When you are sailing in fog, choose the foghorn that works best for you. Make sure it’s loud, dependable, and won’t break your wallet.

A microphone that comes without a cable and can be connected directly to the sound recording or amplifying equipment is a wireless microphone. A manufacturer equipment from Germany said in 1962 he invented the wireless microphone first.
Although various individuals and organizations say they were the first to invent it, the story says that Rex Harrison made the first use of wireless microphones for his film My Fair Lady in 1964.
While buying a wireless microphone should be aware of what kind of system suits the need of the best. Apart from this, the buyer should have a good knowledge of the situation for which is being bought. Configuring wireless technology is a bit difficult because the process is not limited to just plug in and out. As So before going for this microphone a clear and precise technical knowledge is essential.
Whatever the type of transmitter, the buyer should review the battery to determine if fresh or not. You must remember that battery life varies from system to system, and if the battery has served more than half of life security that must be replaced.
Several types of frequencies and transmission technologies will also be served. Wireless microphones have the ability to transmit radio waves with the help of the VHF or UHF frequencies, FM or AM. The VHF microphones down the type of frequency and therefore the user can not change other frequencies, if there is an obstacle.
UHF microphones can be operated in a place only according to national regulations on the country. In some countries, the government believes that all radio frequencies as its military assets. Not only that, radio transmitters and wireless microphones is considered as a punishable offense. As its use requires a license issued by the government.
The use of wireless microphones has both advantages and disadvantages. It saves the users of the problems caused by constant movement of the cables. Thus the artist or the user can enjoy the freedom of movement.
One disadvantage wireless technology is that it can be operated only for a limited period of time. There is a possibility that interference from other radio equipment can affect the system, although this can vary from model to model.
The other points that a buyer must consider is that the microphone should be easy to hold so that the hand can rest in a comfortable position. This is equally important when you buy wireless microphones in order to live performances.
Microphones should be able to handle high sound pressure level or SPL. There may be buyers in the market that are not technically knowledgeable. Always ask user manual for how to be operated
