In its simplistic Liposuction is a two Steo to remove fat. A hollow tube (cannula) is placed under the skin, the tube is moved back and forth until the fat is dislodged, and the attached vacuum source draws back fat through the cannula into the tube and eventually into the plastic bottle.

Despite this apparent simplicity, There is more science than that. There are three interesting components about liposuction, all of which contribute to its safety and efficacy. These include the concept of tumescence, vaporization water and sucking, and tubing size and design.

An integral part of the oepration is the placement of fluid in the areas where fat is being sucked. I am often asked by patients if I do tumescent liposuction. Most patients think that the tumescent liposuction technique is a special time, in fact, is part of any liposuction procedure. Putting large amounts of fluid in areas of fat that is suctioned in advance is called tumescent infiltration. This accomplishes two fundamental things, significantly reduced bleeding (of fat being broken up by the tube distends the liposuction and fat compartments that make the tube to facilitate the passage by which fat is suctioned. Without infiltration tumescent liposuction is bloody, give patients more pain, and they have beaten for a month, if not more.

The amount of suction generated by the liposuction machine, finally, makes possible liposuction. In the suction amount recognized necessary for liposuction (-20 cm of water or -1 atmosphere of pressure), traction of the fat through the pipeline without a doubt occurs. But it also that vaporization of water. If you've ever seen a real liposuction procedure can be seen in the fat bubbles or bubbles in the plastic bottle. Until some extent this is actually boiling water …. Vacuum or pressure above the vapor pressure of water in which fat is removed. This is the vaporization which makes the viscosity (thickness s) of fat, which is actually a combination of fat, blood, and infiltration of fluid, less to improve their ease of flow through the pipe. From a viewpoint of flow of water that evaporates (a gas) flows to 100 times faster than liquid water. This is also why by liposuction done at higher altitudes, where water vapor pressure is less, is easier to do. (takes less suction machine)

The tube (cannula) that is actually used in skin differs in diameter and the holes in the tip. In recent days, the cannulas were quite large, but left a lot of depressions in the overlying skin then due to the elimination of excess fat fast and too coarsely. Currently used small cannula that removes the fat with more care and smaller pieces, reducing the problem of irregularities of the skin after surgery. The tip of the cannula is rounded so that it travels through the fat easier, less likely to penetrate into something they should not. The holes in the tip is where sticks to the grease and then gets sucked into the cannula. The more holes in the end will achieve two effects, increases the effect of court (such as a knife) in the fat and more cross-sectional area through which fat can be sucked.

Currently, there are newer methods of liposuction or to be exact, methods to loosen the fat. These include ultrasound, laser assisted. While the sound quite advanced (and are), there is no convincing evidence in this when they are actually better than traditional liposuction. This means better …. oout you more fat, softer skin, and heal faster. The market for manufacturers, as such, but no study has shown. And the aspiration is still necessary to remove the loose grease.
